Church Outreach Projects

Based on Jesus' words of Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..." we believe part of our responsibility as a local church is to be involved with the spreading of God's message beyond the walls of the church. We do this by helping those in need locally, within the country and the world.

Our aim in missions is to come alongside those who are in need of encouragement through acts of service. We encourage whole families to get involved in order to teach our children from an early age the importance of reaching out to those in need. Our ministry looks for projects to be involved within the United States and abroad.

Where God sent us in 2012

Bledsoe, Kentucky
This past year we took a group to a remote area of Bledsoe, Kentucky to help a church get a new start while encouraging Pastor Barry and Judy Byrne. The projects included installation of kitchen cabinets, renovation of the church nursery, and general clean up with a special addition of a carved wood banner inscribed with Joshua 24:15.

Uganda, Africa
One of our members was privileged to join up with a team from Joni and Friends and the ministry, "Wheels for the Nations." For two weeks Craig Houser was able to help custom fit wheel chairs for nationals unable to walk. Many had crawled or had to be carried. This new found freedom provided by wheel chairs was second to the new found freedom many found as they received Christ as their Savior that day.

New Roof and Yard Clean Uproofrepair1
Men of the church gathered for two days to tear off and replace a roof of a church member in great need. Although temperatures were in the 100's the men pushed through and took care of the leaks ahead of rain and winter weather.

In the fall a group went to a single lady's home recently having back surgery. There they rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up her yard and gardens.

Operation Christmas Child Relay CenterOperation Christmas Child
Each November it is a privilege to be a relay center for this massive international ministry that distributes shoeboxes filled with essential items for children around the world. Along with the gifts comes the gift of Jesus Christ. Our people get the boxes received ready to be shipped to N.C. to a large warehouse from which they are shipped by Samaritan's Purse. Learn More

Skyview Ranch
Two young ladies of the church were sent to Skyview Ranch to work for the summer staff to assist in the camping ministry. Office work and media ministry were their focus along with ministry to campers. Learn More
